Job summary

Flanigan’s is looking for a dedicated kitchen helper to keep our operation sparkling clean in Westchester, FL. You will wash dishware, maintain cleanliness, and assist with opening/closing duties while following safety and sanitation policies.

The role requires English literacy, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a food safety certification. Competitive benefits include paid vacation and health insurance options.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan’s sanitation policies
• Cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
• Maintain kitchen area cleanliness; sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor, etc
• Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
• Prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100 % of shift


• Can reach, bend, stoop


• Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions


• Ability to speak, read and write English


• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers


• Work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors


• Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans


• Work safely with sharp knives and utensils


• Support fellow employees as needed


• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
