Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- Adaptability: This position requires a manager who understands the word ‘FLUID’. Dinges Fire is a growing company, and responsibilities may change rapidly. The ability to adapt and thrive amidst change is vital.
- Firefighter Background: Must have a firefighter background and understand the needs of Fire Departments and EMS. We are Firefighters selling to Firefighters!
- Travel: Weekly travel within the State is required, along with several trips annually to the Amboy home office and Fire Shows. Traveling with our sales team and fire departments is a key component of the role.
- Remote Sales Position: This role is remote, requiring the ability to grow business independently without daily in-person management, and a dedicated home office space.
- Customer Relationships: Work tirelessly to provide excellent customer service, aiming to personally connect with every Fire Department Chief and decision-maker in your State.
- Personnel Management: Experience managing 1099 distributors and sales representatives is necessary. The role includes recruiting and onboarding 1099 sales reps to cover your assigned State departments fully.
- Managerial and Communication Skills: Strong managerial skills and excellent oral and written communication are essential.
- People Skills: The ideal candidate enjoys working in a team environment and possesses excellent interpersonal skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and comfort with web-based sales programs and social media is required.
- Location: Ideally, the State Manager resides in the State they are assigned to.
