Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. seeks an Assistant Technical Instructor/Facilitator to develop employees' safety, compliance, and operational skills through classroom and hands-on training at the Tyrone/Bly location in AZ. You will deliver simulations, assess performance, and help close skill gaps with supervisors.

The role emphasizes mentoring, adapting materials, and collaborating with training teams to ensure effective skill transfer in mining/industrial settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Five years of directly related work experience leading teams or facilitating training in a relevant field.
• Proven computer literacy including MS Office and Windows.
• Demonstrated behaviors aligned with technical training values and company policies.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written safety-related instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on training and simulations, proctor standardized assessments, and collaborate with supervisors to address skill gaps.
• Facilitate interactive classroom and computer-based training sessions using activities and discussions to improve retention.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and assessment results in the LMS.
• Participate in train-the-trainer programs and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Mentor instructors to support team and organizational goals.
