Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan’s Climax Molybdenum operations in Colorado seek a skilled Maintenance Planner with strong scheduling experience in mining or manufacturing environments. You will lead maintenance activities, plan and monitor schedules, and work closely with supervisors to ensure field readiness and efficient execution.

You will use SAP and asset-management tools to maintain data integrity, forecast needs, and support budgets, while mentoring junior planners and coordinating with Global Supply

Qualifications

• Wide-ranging experience in maintenance planning/scheduling in mining/manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Knowledge of maintenance management systems and related applications.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and prioritize work orders.
• Proficient in generating and interpreting reports for site management.

Responsibilities

• Lead workload activities of the assigned department by planning, scheduling, measuring, and analyzing maintenance activities in collaboration with site supervisors.
• Manage and maintain the integrity of information management systems to meet planning objectives.
• Establish and monitor planned schedules for assigned activities; participate in daily/weekly/monthly planning meetings.
• Execute Runtime Forecasting processes for the assigned area.
• Mentor Planner I personnel in Freeport‑McMoRan practices and scheduling techniques.
• Support area Supervisor in job preparation, execution and field readiness of materials and equipment.
• Develop, monitor, and adjust schedules in SAP; coordinate long-range planning and major shutdowns.
• Interact with Global Supply Chain to control warehouse levels and storage conditions.
