Job summary

Turner Mining Group is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to oversee the safe, cost-efficient execution of all maintenance for fixed and mobile equipment at a mining site. This on-site leadership role combines strategic shop oversight with hands-on supervision of technicians and crews to maximize asset performance and minimize downtime.

You will lead reliability initiatives, prioritize safety, schedule work, and coach team members to build a high-performance maintenance culture on the shop

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Journeyman's certificate or engineering degree preferred.
• SMRP CMRP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Significant supervisory/leadership experience (minimum 5-7 years) in maintenance operations.
• Experience in planning, scheduling, and work management processes.
• Proven track record of leading teams in fast-paced environments with focus on safety, reliability and costs.

Responsibilities

• Safety, Health, Environmental Compliance & Leadership.
• Develop and champion a safe working environment with full program compliance.
• Embed safety leadership across the maintenance team; conduct safety observations and toolbox talks.
• Maintain an environmentally responsible program ensuring site standards.
• Direct day-to-day supervision of maintenance technicians, mechanics, and crews.
• Provide coaching and performance management to build a high-performance team.
• Manage staffing levels, vacation schedules, and overtime to meet targets while controlling costs.
