Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a National Field Service Technician to assemble and maintain heavy mining equipment on-site, primarily rope shovels and electric drive truck assemblies. The role requires extensive travel across the West and Southwest and involves welding, field machining, and on-site repair in demanding environments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical experience in mining or heavy industry, with welding expertise and a willingness to travel, including long road assignments and safety

Qualifications

• Able to be on the road 6 weeks at a time working 13-14 hour days.
• Certification in AWS D1.1 with successful completion of the FCAW welding test.
• Current MSHA training certification to ensure compliance with safety regulations in the mining industry preferred
• Completion of rigging training, enabling you to perform lifting and rigging activities competently and safely
