Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a National Field Service Technician. You will assemble heavy mining equipment on-site, perform mechanical maintenance, welding, and field machining across the West and Southwest.

The role requires travel throughout the US and adherence to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on heavy industry experience, welding expertise (AWS D1.1 FCAW), and the ability to be on the road for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Welding and heavy equipment assembly/maintenance experience.
• Willingness to travel long periods across the US.
• AWS D1.1 certified with FCAW test completed.
• MSHA training preferred for mining safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Field mechanical maintenance and welding on mining equipment.
• Assemble heavy mining equipment on-site, incl. rope shovels and electric drive trucks.
• Travel across the West and Southwest for on-site support.
• Operate and maintain equipment, with safety and quality standards.
