Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Field Service Technician based in Elko, NV to carry out maintenance, inspection, and repair of mining equipment across diverse sites. You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, replace defective parts, and test systems to ensure uptime.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in a related technical service role.
• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship or equivalent of at least one year of technical college focused on mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems.
• Ability to interpret and apply schematic diagrams to troubleshooting and motor control systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience aligning motor couplings, transfer cases, and gearboxes.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, servicing, and inspection on mining equipment to ensure safety and reliability.
• Diagnose issues in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems and implement effective solutions.
• Repair or replace defective parts at customer sites with strong workmanship and safety.
