Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking a Field Service Technician based in Elko, NV to perform maintenance, inspection, and repair of mining equipment. The role requires hands-on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical expertise in challenging environments.

You will diagnose issues, replace components, and test equipment to ensure peak performance, collaborating with teams and customers to minimize downtime. Relocation and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship or equivalent of at least one year of technical college education focused on mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems.
• Working knowledge of motor control systems, circuit installation processes, and ability to interpret schematic diagrams for troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience aligning couplings, transfer cases, and gearboxes.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, servicing, and inspection on mining equipment to ensure safety and reliability.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and identify root causes.
• Repair or replace defective parts at customer sites while maintaining safety standards.
• Conduct rigorous testing of repaired equipment before returning to operation.
• Collaborate with field service teams to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Troubleshoot using motor controls, circuits, and schematics to resolve complex issues.
• Demonstrate proficiency in alignments of motors, couplings, transfer cases, and gearboxes.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs for continuous improvement.
