Qualifications

• Minimum two years in a related technical service role.
• Apprenticeship or 1 year technical college in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems.
• Working knowledge of motor control systems and ability to interpret schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience aligning couplings, transfer cases, and gearboxes.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with good communication.
• Commitment to safety protocols and safe work environment.
• Willingness to travel to varied surface mining sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough maintenance, repair, servicing, and inspection of mining equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
• Diagnose issues related to mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems and identify root causes.
• Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts at customer sites following safety standards.
• Conduct rigorous testing of repaired equipment before returning to operation.
• Collaborate with field service teams to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion.
• Utilize knowledge of motor controls and schematics to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Demonstrate proficiency in mechanical alignments of couplings, transfer cases, and gearboxes.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs for continuous improvement.
