Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp in Elko, NV is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform maintenance, repair, and inspection on a wide range of mining equipment, ensuring safety, reliability, and optimal performance at customer sites. Qualifications

• Two years in a technical service role, with preference for mining or heavy equipment.
• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship or the equivalent of at least one year of technical college in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems.
• Working knowledge of motor control systems, circuit installation processes, and the ability to interpret and apply schematic diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, servicing, and inspection on mining equipment to ensure safety and reliability.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and identify root causes.
• Repair or replace defective parts at customer sites with high workmanship and safety standards.
• Test repaired equipment to verify performance before returning to operation.
• Collaborate with field service teams to prioritize tasks and meet schedules.
• Read schematics and troubleshoot motor controls and wiring.
• Maintain records of services and contribute to continuous improvement.
