Job summary

WSP is seeking a Mining Construction Coordinator (Civil/Concrete) to oversee and coordinate onsite civil and concrete construction activities for a large mining EPCM project. The role can be performed from anywhere in the United States with preference in Nevada, Utah, or nearby mining hubs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management preferred.
• 5+ years in large-scale heavy civil construction/mining infrastructure.
• Hands-on construction management experience in active mining settings.
• Strong communication and liaison skills across designers, owners, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction oversight for civil, earthworks and concrete elements on mining projects.
• Manage contractors and field teams with focus on safety, cost, schedule, and quality.
• Serve as primary interface among contractors, engineering, procurement and project controls.
• Coordinate with design engineers, geotechnical teams and stakeholders on constructability and sequencing.
• Drive safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Oversee QA/QC, inspections, and material testing to meet specs and safety standards.
• Support procurement and field implementation of key materials and systems.
• Develop and manage construction execution plans, schedules, risk registers, and cost tracking.
