Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Mining Construction Coordinator (Civil/Concrete) to oversee onsite civil and concrete construction for a large mining EPCM project. Location is flexible nationwide with Utah/Nevada preference.

You will coordinate field execution with engineering, procurement, and project controls to meet safety, schedule, and cost goals. Ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in engineering or construction management, 5+ years in heavy civil/mining infra, and safety trainings (MSHA 48B, OSHA 30).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management preferred.
• 5+ years in large-scale heavy civil construction or mining infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating multiple vendors and field teams.
• MSHA 48B and OSHA 30 training preferred.
• Strong communication and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction oversight and coordination for civil, earthworks, and concrete elements.
• Manage contractors and field teams for safety, cost, schedule, quality.
• Serve as interface between contractors, engineering, procurement, and project controls.
• Coordinate with design engineers and stakeholders for constructability.
• Drive safety culture and ensure compliance on site.
• Oversee QA/QC and material testing programs.
• Support procurement and field implementation of materials.
• Develop and manage execution plans, schedules, risk registers, and cost tracking.
• Exercise ethical decision-making and adhere to Code of Conduct.
