Job summary

WSP is seeking a Mining Construction Coordinator (Civil/Concrete) to oversee and coordinate onsite civil and concrete construction activities for a large mining EPCM project. This full-time role supports an Earth & Environment team and can be based anywhere in the United States, with preference for Nevada, Utah, or nearby mining locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in large-scale heavy civil construction or mining infrastructure.
• Hands-on construction management experience in active mining settings with ability to track multiple vendors.
• Understanding of heap leach pad construction and related environmental controls preferred.
• Safety-focused with MSHA 48B Surface and OSHA 30-hour training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction oversight and coordination for new mine development of civil, earthworks, and concrete elements.
• Manage construction contractors and field teams with oversight on safety, cost, schedule, and quality.
• Serve as the interface between contractors, engineering, procurement, and project controls teams.
• Coordinate with design engineers and stakeholders to support constructability and field modifications.
• Drive safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements on site.
• Oversee QA/QC, inspection, and material testing to meet technical and safety standards.
• Support procurement and field implementation of key materials and systems.
• Develop and manage construction execution plans, schedules, risk registers, and cost tracking.
