Caterpillar is seeking a MineStar Onboard Specialist to own the health and integration of MineStar/Command onboard systems for hauling fleets at a Nevada mine site. You will troubleshoot field issues, collaborate with engineering and product support, and assist customers with installation and operation.

This role requires hands-on problem solving, strong field support experience, and the ability to communicate complex technical findings to maintenance and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with mining technology and large mining equipment; mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.
• Strong troubleshooting and field-support background in an industrial setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own onboard hardware health and availability for MineStar/Command for hauling-equipped fleet.
• Manage machine and system integration; ensure onboard components/networks/machine control work together.
• Troubleshoot field issues, document findings, and drive resolution with engineering, product support, and commercial teams.
• Report hardware/software status clearly; escalate critical events per procedures.
• Coach customer personnel and internal teammates on Command for hauling equipment best practices.
• Present technical findings to customer maintenance and operations stakeholders clearly.
