Job summary

Cashman Equipment Co. in Winnemucca, NV is seeking a MineStar technician to install, configure, troubleshoot, repair, and support Fleet, Terrain, and Command systems on Caterpillar and allied mining machines.

You will commission hardware, calibrate sensors, and validate network and software integration to ensure field readiness. The role requires safe operation in active mining environments, occasional overnight travel, and clear communication of technical information to customers and coworkers.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Current driver's license; DOT licensing/medical card as required.
• 6 months related experience; MineStar experience a plus.
• English language proficiency (speaking/writing).
• Ability to travel to remote locations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, repair, and support MineStar systems.
• Commission, calibrate, and validate onboard hardware and software.
• Diagnose malfunctions in GNSS, displays, radios, wiring, and autonomy components.
• Prepare service reports and maintain equipment in good condition.
• Travel to customer sites and provide on-the-job training as needed.
• Work safely in mining environments and comply with safety policies.
