Job summary

North American Construction Group is seeking a Welder to support our San Miguel Mine team. The role focuses on welding and fabricating on draglines and heavy equipment, ensuring equipment safety and reliability on site.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with vocational training and 3-4 years’ experience in construction equipment maintenance.
Must possess strong welding skills and knowledge of mechanical systems on heavy equipment.
Ability to read plans, service manuals and specifications; visualize 2D drawings in 3D and apply them.

Responsibilities

Identify safety hazards and take corrective action to minimize risk.
Inspect equipment, read plans and service manuals, and ensure compliance with NACG standards.
Perform welding, fabrication and repairs on draglines and heavy equipment as required.
Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperatures and conditions.
Collaborate with other trades on the job site to ensure timely, safe completion of tasks.
