Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Welder – Mobile Maintenance at Turquoise Ridge in Nevada to weld, fabricate, and repair components on the mobile mining equipment fleet. You will help maintain haul trucks, loaders, dozers, graders, and drills to OEM specifications and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has AWS certification or equivalent, 2+ years of mining/welding experience, and proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding with the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of welding experience in mining or heavy equipment environment
• AWS certification or equivalent required
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding
• Ability to read blueprints and OEM specifications
• Must lift and carry 50 pounds and work with minimum supervision

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, fabrication, and repair on mobile mining equipment (haul trucks, loaders, dozers, graders, drills) using MIG, TIG, arc, and brazing
• Perform line boring and take precise measurements
• Diagnose wear, cracks, and damage; complete repairs to OEM/site specs
• Fabricate and install replacement parts, guards, brackets, ladders, and supports
• Perform preventative welding maintenance to minimize downtime
• Operate cutting and AIR ARC gouging equipment safely
• Complete accurate work orders and maintenance records
• Coordinate with mechanics and supervisors to prioritize repairs
• Maintain a clean, organized welding shop and tools
• Other duties as required
