Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines, Winnemucca, NV, is seeking a Welder - Mobile Maintenance to weld, fabricate, and repair components on the mobile mining equipment fleet. You will ensure equipment is maintained to OEM and site specifications while supporting fleet availability.

The role requires MIG, TIG, and stick welding proficiency, AWS certification, and the ability to read blueprints. A rotating days/nights schedule and a strong safety record are essential.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of welding experience in a mining, heavy equipment, or industrial environment (preferred).
• AWS certification or equivalent trade qualification (required).
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick (manual arc) welding (required).
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics and interpret OEM repair specifications (required).
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds (required).
• Demonstrated self-direction, teamwork, and ability to work with minimal supervision (required).
• Proven safety record and excellent attendance (required).
• Willingness to work in adverse conditions and rotating day/night schedules (required).

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, fabrication, and repair on mobile mining equipment using MIG, TIG, stick, and brazing processes.
• Perform line boring and take precise measurements on various equipment.
• Diagnose wear, cracking, and damage and complete repairs to OEM/site specifications.
• Fabricate and install replacement parts, guards, ladders, and supports for mobile equipment.
• Carry out preventative welding maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean, safe welding shop and equipment, and complete work orders.
• Coordinate with mechanics and planners to prioritize repairs and support fleet availability.
