Job summary

North American Construction Group seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator to support our San Miguel Mine team south of Jourdanton, Texas. You will ensure mining equipment operates efficiently while following safety standards and company policies.

The role requires 3+ years of heavy equipment experience, English proficiency, and a valid driver’s license. You will work outdoors in an open pit mine and participate in safety procedures, with 12-hour rotating shifts and required testing.

Qualifications

• Three or more years related to Heavy Equipment Operation.
• Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass required tests.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (haul trucks, dozers, blades) on mine roads and in pit areas.
• Observe all operation policies and procedures.
• Report any potentially unsafe conditions.
• Participate in safety procedures and Job Hazard Analysis of the working area.
• Perform walk around inspections.
• Work in outdoor settings and in an open pit mine environment.
• Work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Read and interpret manuals and labels.
• Fill out paperwork associated with operation of heavy equipment.
• Communicate and coordinate with other employees.
