Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking a Mine Maintenance - Operations Mentor to train and guide crew members at/around Leadville, CO, focusing on KSAs and safety. The role centers on mentoring, developing technical skills, and updating training materials to improve overall operations.

You will liaise with training and department leaders, assess competency, and help maintain SOPs while supporting a safe and efficient mining environment at high elevation.

Qualifications

• Seven years of industrial work experience across mining-related areas.
• Bachelor’s degree and three years of industrial work experience required or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate across platforms and promote safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Train crew members in KSAs, individually or in teams, on department-specific jobs.
• Support department initiatives through mentoring and training collaboration.
• Assess task/skill competency of crew members and update SOPs.
• Assist in maintaining training materials and related docs.
• Develop and mentor others to improve operating area performance.
