Standard Electric Supply Co is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our Milwaukee, WI team. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, support IT equipment, and help maintain system security while delivering strong internal customer service.

The role focuses on onboarding/offboarding, network performance, and ensuring reliable day-to-day operations. In-person work at Milwaukee location, with a comprehensive benefits package and a pay range of $60,000 to $85,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Valid driver's license and own reliable transportation.
• Experience supporting hardware, software, and network systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly and provide excellent internal customer support.
• Knowledge of Windows Server administration, including DNS, DHCP, file services, and print services.
• Familiarity with PowerShell or other scripting languages used for systems administration and automation.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and effective technical support to end users via phone, email, or in-person, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Maintain appropriate security measures across the corporate network and user devices
• Configure, install, and maintain computers, printers, and phone equipment.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network, Wi-Fi, and server systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform onboarding and offboarding tasks, including user setup, system access, and equipment provisioning.
