Job summary

D7 Pneumatics LLC is seeking a skilled Millwright with welding capabilities to join our maintenance division for scheduled fall shutdowns. You will maintain, repair, and install industrial machinery across steel mills, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has apprenticeship experience and strong MIG, TIG, and Stick welding skills, plus a solid background in mechanical systems, hydraulics, and basic electricals. Physical work in demanding environments is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Industrial maintenance experience, preferably in steel mills, sawmills, and power plants.
• Strong welding experience: MIG, TIG, and STICK with various materials.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments and lift heavy parts.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, repair, and installation of industrial machinery across facilities.
• Perform welding for repairs and fabrication of parts and structures.
• Develop preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
• Assist with installation, alignment, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure safe, clean work areas.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and management to resolve issues.
• Apply troubleshooting skills to identify and fix mechanical failures.
