Job summary

D7 Pneumatics LLC is seeking a skilled Millwright with welding capabilities to join our maintenance division for fall shutdowns. The role covers maintenance, repair, and installation of industrial machinery across steel mills, sawmills, and auto plants.

Ideal candidates have a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent experience, strong MIG/TIG/Stick welding skills, and a solid understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Industrial maintenance experience, preferably in steel mills, sawmills, and power plants.
• Strong welding experience (MIG, TIG, Stick) with various materials (steel, stainless steel).
• Deep understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces, high elevations, and extreme temperatures.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities with attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, repair, and maintenance of mechanical equipment, conveyors, crushers, pumps, motors, gearboxes and other machinery in industrial settings.
• Perform MIG/TIG/Stick welding for repairs and fabrication; conduct welding inspections for quality and safety.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
• Assist with installation, alignment, and commissioning of new equipment in mining, sawmill, and automotive lines.
• Follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements; maintain safe and clean work areas.
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians, engineers and management to resolve issues quickly.
• Apply troubleshooting skills to identify failures and implement effective solutions.
