Job summary

D7 Pneumatics LLC is seeking a skilled Millwright with welding capabilities to join our maintenance division for scheduled fall shutdowns. The role involves maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial machinery across steel mills and related facilities.

Candidates should have MIG, TIG, and Stick welding experience, solid mechanical system knowledge, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical understanding.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Industrial maintenance experience in steel mills, sawmills, and power plants.
• Strong MIG, TIG, and Stick welding experience with steel and stainless materials.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electricals.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments with safety as a priority.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance & repairs of mechanical equipment, conveyors, crushers, pumps, motors, gearboxes.
• Welding and fabrication for repairs and part fabrication; perform welding inspections.
• Develop and follow preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
• Assist with installation, alignment, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements; maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and management to resolve issues.
• Apply troubleshooting skills to diagnose and fix mechanical failures.
