Job summary

D7 Pneumatics LLC is seeking a skilled Millwright with welding capabilities to join our maintenance division for scheduled fall shutdowns. The role covers maintenance, repair, and installation of industrial machinery across steel mills, sawmills, and auto plants.

The ideal candidate has strong welding experience (MIG, TIG, Stick), solid knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics, and thrives in a safety‑conscious, fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in steel mills, sawmills, and power plants.
• Strong MIG, TIG, and Stick welding abilities with multiple materials.
• Solid knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and physically demanding conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Repairs: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment, conveyor systems, crushers, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other industrial machinery in coal mining operations, sawmills, and auto plants.
• Welding & Fabrication: Perform welding (MIG, TIG, Stick) for repairs and fabrication of parts, structures, and equipment as needed. Conduct welding inspections to ensure high-quality, safe work.
• Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery and equipment.
• Installation & Commissioning: Assist with the installation, alignment, and commissioning of new equipment in mining, sawmill, and automotive production lines.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and work in compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring that work areas are always safe and clean.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance technicians, engineers, and management to ensure efficient operations and quick resolution of mechanical issues.
• Problem Solving: Apply strong troubleshooting skills to identify mechanical failures and implement effective solutions.
