Job summary

D7 Pneumatics LLC is seeking a highly skilled Millwright with welding capabilities to join our maintenance division for scheduled fall shutdowns. This role focuses on maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial machinery in steel mills and related plants.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, welding proficiency (MIG/TIG/Stick), and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment while collaborating with engineers and management.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in steel mills, sawmills, and power plants.
• Strong welding experience (MIG, TIG, Stick) with various materials.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces and extreme temperatures.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and strict safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and conveyors.
• Perform welding and fabrication for repairs and parts as needed.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians, engineers, and management.
• Apply strong troubleshooting to identify failures and implement solutions.
