Job summary

D7 Pneumatics LLC is seeking a highly skilled Millwright with welding capabilities to join our maintenance division for our scheduled fall shutdowns. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial machinery across steel mills, sawmills, and auto plants, with a strong background in welding techniques and safety.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in steel mills, sawmills, and power plants.
• Strong welding experience, particularly in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
• Deep understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces, high elevations, and extreme temperatures.
• Must adhere to all safety protocols and demonstrate a commitment to a safe working environment.
• Experience reading blueprints, technical manuals, and electrical schematics.
• Experience in installation and commissioning of heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, repair, and installation of industrial machinery across steel mills, sawmills, and auto plants.
• Perform welding for repairs and fabrication; conduct welding inspections for quality and safety.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and apply effective solutions.
• Assist with installation, alignment, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain clean, safe work areas.
