Job summary

D7 Pneumatics LLC is seeking a highly skilled Millwright with strong welding capabilities to join our maintenance division for scheduled fall shutdowns. The role involves maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial machinery across steel mills and related facilities.

The ideal candidate has a solid mechanical background, welding proficiency (MIG, TIG, Stick), and the ability to work in a safety-focused, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in steel mills, sawmills, and power plants.
• Strong welding experience, MIG, TIG, and Stick, with ability to work with steel and stainless steel.
• Deep understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces, high elevations, and extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance & repairs: troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment, conveyors, crushers, pumps, motors, gearboxes in heavy industries.
• Welding & fabrication: perform MIG/TIG/Stick welding for repairs and fabrication; conduct welding inspections.
• Preventative maintenance: develop and implement maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
• Installation & commissioning: assist with installation, alignment, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Safety & compliance: follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements; keep work areas safe and clean.
• Collaboration: work with other maintenance technicians, engineers, and management to ensure efficient operations.
• Problem solving: troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement effective solutions.
