Job summary

D7 Pneumatics LLC is seeking a highly skilled Millwright with welding capabilities to join our maintenance division for scheduled fall shutdowns. The role involves maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial machinery across steel mills, with a focus on safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate has apprenticeship background, extensive experience in MIG/TIG/STICK welding, and a strong grasp of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical work, in fast-paced industrial

Qualifications

• Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in steel mills, sawmills, and power plants.
• Strong welding experience (MIG, TIG, and Stick) with various materials.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and basic electrical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance & repairs: troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and conveyor systems in industrial settings.
• Welding & fabrication: perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding for repairs and fabrication.
• Preventative maintenance: develop and implement PM schedules to reduce downtime.
• Installation & commissioning: assist with installation and alignment of new equipment.
• Safety & compliance: follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration: work with technicians, engineers and management to ensure operations.
• Problem solving: identify failures and implement effective solutions.
