Job summary

THOMPSON HARDWOODS INC. is seeking a Mid-level Millwright II to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery within the sawmill and related operations.

The role requires strong mechanical skills, independent work habits, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. You will diagnose malfunctions, perform preventative maintenance, read blueprints, align and calibrate equipment, and support upgrades.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a millwright or industrial maintenance technician.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and production machinery.

Position Summary

The Millwright II is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical systems within the sawmill and related operations. This mid‑level role requires strong mechanical skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety and operational efficiency. Millwright II plays a key role in minimizing downtime and ensuring equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities
