Job summary

Beasley Forest Products Inc. in Hazlehurst, GA is seeking an entry-level millwright/maintenance technician to perform routine maintenance on sawmill machinery and assist in installing and calibrating equipment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on sawmill machinery (conveyors, motors, gearboxes, etc.).
• Assist in installing, aligning, and calibrating new equipment and replacing components.
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues under supervision of senior millwrights.
• Adhere to safety procedures, particularly Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Accurately document all maintenance activities and repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on sawmill machinery (e.g., conveyors, motors, gearboxes, chains, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems).
• Repairs & Installation: Assist in installing, aligning, and calibrating new equipment and replacing components such as bearings, shafts, and sprockets.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues under the supervision of senior millwrights.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety procedures, particularly Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and maintain a safe, clean work area.
• Documentation: Accurately document all maintenance activities and repairs
