Job summary

Coushatta Forest Products is seeking several Millwrights to join our leadership and maintenance teams at the Coushatta, Louisiana sawmill. The Millwright will install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery to keep production running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include alignment, troubleshooting, reading blueprints, and performing preventative maintenance while adhering to all safety regulations. Onsite, full-time roles with varied shifts and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of millwright experience, preferably in sawmill/manufacturing.
• Experience with industrial machinery installation, maintenance and repair.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools.

Job description

Coushatta Forest Products is looking for several Millwrights to join our new Leadership team and team in Coushatta, Louisiana.The Millwright will play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment across the sawmill facility. This position ensures that all machinery operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. The Millwright will work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform precise alignments, and install new equipment according to technical specifications. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are paramount to prevent accidents and maintain compliance with industry standards. Ultimately, Millwright contributes to the seamless operation of sawmill and production processes by applying expert mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1- 3 years of experience as a millwright, preferably in a sawmill, manufacturing, or similar setting
• Proven experience in industrial machinery installation, maintenance, and repair
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in welding or fabrication
• Experience with CNC machinery and automated systems
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• OSHA safety certification or equivalent safety training

Responsibilities
