Job summary

Aerotek seeks a Millwright Apprentice to join a growing team focused on agricultural processing facilities. You will assist with installation, troubleshooting, and rigging, traveling to local and national sites while supporting maintenance and fabrication tasks.

Ideal candidates have hands-on mechanical experience, lift equipment handling skills, and a willingness to work in varying industrial environments. Training and career growth are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a mechanical, construction, or skilled-trades role.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and interest in industrial equipment.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work at heights up to 100 feet.
• Experience with hand and power tools; basic welding skills possible.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assembling and erecting structural steel and equipment components.
• Interpret shop drawings and blueprints for accurate installation.
• Perform basic welding tasks under supervision as required.
• Support equipment center lines, elevations, and alignment.
• Assist with rigging, moving, and setting equipment safely.
• Install, align, and anchor machinery to tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems in processing plants.
• Use hand and power tools for assembly, disassembly, maintenance.
• Support preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Travel to local and out-of-town sites (approx. 50%).
