Job summary

Lowe’s is looking for a Sales Specialist to join our in-store team in Ohio. You will be one of the first people customers meet, helping them find products and turn great project ideas into reality in a fast-paced environment.

You will become the product expert, explaining specifications, features, promotions, and financing options to close sales. You’ll work in various departments, with opportunities to train others and earn bonus incentives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of customer-facing sales experience or 6 months Lowe's retail experience (or 3 years external sales if education not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience in a sales environment with goals/metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with assistance.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state; Lowe’s will support this.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, providing estimates, scheduling installer visits, processing orders, and following up on projects.
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors/stores to replace stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing/documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and department requests.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and mentor on development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
