Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts, including welder, boilermaker, machinist or facility maintenance/construction.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in English.
• Ability to read and use blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic, maintenance and repair of heavy equipment (Haul Trucks, Water Trucks, Dozers, Loaders, Motors).
• Remove, repair and install transmissions, engines, brakes, differentials, pumps and other heavy equipment components.
• Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance on hydraulic, powertrain and engine systems.
• Prioritize repairs and make informed decisions regarding equipment issues.
• Maintain work orders and conduct work area inspections.
• Operate mobile equipment such as cranes, forklifts and boom trucks.
• Weld using Carbon arc, Plasma, Mig, Tig and Stick processes.
• Serve as Fill-in Supervisor as required and mentor other employees.
