Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. operates the Henderson mine and mill in Colorado, with a focus on maintaining and repairing milling equipment.

The role includes on-site work at a large underground molybdenum operation and requires familiarity with conveyors, mills, and related systems. The candidate should have at least one year of mechanical/maintenance experience, be able to read schematics and blue-prints, and demonstrate mechanical aptitude through assessment and training.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in mechanical/maintenance or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance.
• Ability read and use schematics and blue‑prints.
• Must have completed academic and competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees), and have experience demonstrating required mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Safely maintains, installs, and repairs equipment and processes in the Milling plant (mills, conveyors, screens).
• Perform component replacement and repairs on conveyor systems, ball mills, auto mills, screen decks, lube systems, filter drums, crushers, hydraulic filter presses, foundry pumps.
