Job summary

Freeport McMoRan Inc. is seeking a skilled mechanic to diagnose, maintain and repair underground mobile equipment at our Henderson site in Colorado.

You will perform diagnostics, part replacements and preventive maintenance under supervision, ensuring safety and reliability of loaders, haul trucks and drills. The role requires at least 1 year of mining equipment experience or equivalent, HS diploma or GED, and the ability to pass required training and testing.

Qualifications

• Experience with mining mobile equipment maintenance or equivalent industrial repair experience.
• Ability to pass written assessment; valid safety knowledge and aptitude.
• Commitment to safe work practices and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain and repair underground mobile equipment (loaders, haul trucks, graders, bolters).
• Perform component diagnostics, replacement and repairs (powertrains, hydraulics, electrical systems, engines).
• Conduct preventive maintenance, scheduled service hours, fluid changes and inspections.
