Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician at the Henderson mine in Colorado. The role involves performing maintenance, installation, and repair of equipment within the Milling plant and requires one year of mechanical/maintenance experience.

Qualified candidates will have the ability to read schematics, a high school diploma or GED, and must demonstrate mechanical aptitude. The estimated pay range is $26.00 - $33.00 per hour, with additional benefits including medical, dental, and a $1,450 housing allowance.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience in mechanical/maintenance or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance.
• Must have completed academic and competencies required including Line of Progression requirements for internal employees.
• Selected candidate shall demonstrate ability to apply knowledge and technical skills while also passing a written assessment.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform maintenance, installation, and repair of equipment in the Milling plant.
• Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance.
• Maintain work orders and a clean and safe work area.
