Job summary

New World Van Lines is seeking an OA/DA Military Move Specialist in Chicago to manage military and select non-military moves. You will coordinate with Military Move Brokers, accounts, and internal teams to ensure timely, accurate moves aligned with procedures and service standards.

The role requires strong organizational skills, high-volume move experience, and proficiency with MS Office. You will oversee packing, transportation, storage, and vendor coordination, ensuring compliance and billing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in moving/relocation customer service, preferably in 3rd party Military moves.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong MS Office proficiency and experience with proprietary software.
• Ability to manage multiple awarded moves simultaneously.
• Experience supporting high-volume move environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage move opportunities through third-party bid boards.
• Review move details, scope, timelines, and service requirements to ensure accurate bid.
• Quote non-military moves, as needed.
• Register both military and non-military moves.
• Coordinate packing, transportation, storage, delivery, and specialty services as required.
• Work with approved third-party vendors to fulfill services not performed internally.
• Make appropriate decisions when monitoring moves while addressing issues, exceptions, and/or delays.
• Escalate service issues, delays, or exceptions following established escalation procedures (Red Alert).
• Ensure moves are completed on schedule and in compliance with service expectations.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, contractual obligations, and quality standards; support billing accuracy.
• Support post-move follow-up and close-out activities as required.
• Work with software to update Planning for appropriate moves.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
