Job summary

Prescient Edge seeks a seasoned Human Resources Support Technician for the USSOCOM unit at MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL. The role delivers comprehensive HR services, including benefits guidance, records management, and compliance with civilian and military regulations.

You will handle personnel actions, awards processing, onboarding, and leadership briefings, coordinating with SOCOM J1. A Master’s in HR or equivalent, TS/SCI eligibility, and extensive experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of experience in Human Resources.
• At least 2 of the last 12 years providing support to USSOCOM at the O-6 or higher level.
• Effective interpersonal communication to present complex reports to senior military officials.
• Experience in managing Defense Travel System (DTS) at various levels.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive HR services including benefits guidance, leave policy administration, awards processing, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance with civilian and military regulations.
• Manage personnel records, regulatory compliance, administrative support, leadership briefings, and program improvement.
• Process and manage all personnel actions (promotions, transfers, leaves, separations, reassignments) and coordinate with SOCOM J1 on actions and awards.
• Oversee awards and decorations program; prepare certificates and publish official orders.
• Manage the unit's performance evaluation system; track suspense dates and ensure timely submissions.
• Maintain personnel readiness and strength reports; track arrivals/departures and duty statuses.
