Job summary

SOSi seeks an HR Support Technician to sustain comprehensive HR services—benefits guidance, leave policy, onboarding, recruitment, and compliance with civilian and military regulations. You’ll own personnel records management and regulatory compliance, ensuring accuracy and timely actions for the unit.

This role requires TS/SCI with CI Poly eligibility, a Master’s in HR or a BA with extensive senior HR experience, and proven Defense Travel System management.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI Poly.
• Master’s degree in Human Resources or Bachelor’s with 5 years of related senior experience (total 17 years).
• Minimum 12 years of experience in Human Resources.
• Experience providing support to USSOCOM at O-6 or higher-level command within last 12 years.
• Effective interpersonal communications skills to present complex reports to senior military officials.
• Experience in managing Defense Travel System (DTS) at various levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive HR services including benefits guidance, leave policy administration, awards processing, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance with civilian and military regulations.
• Own personnel records management and regulatory compliance.
• Develop SOPs and policies that are practical and effective.
• Prepare briefings for command leadership.
• Coordinate all personnel actions (promotions, transfers, leaves, separations, reassignments).
• Coordinate with SOCOM J1 for personnel actions and awards.
• Manage awards and decorations program; process recommendations and publish official orders.
• Oversee performance evaluation system, tracking deadlines and ensuring timely submissions.
• Maintain personnel readiness and strength reports for commander.
