Job summary

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as an optometric or ophthalmic technician
• Experience performing visual fields, OCTs, and Fundus Photography is required
• Must have own transportation for site travel
• Proficient with computers including word processing, databases, and spreadsheets

Responsibilities

• Assist the optometrist with procedures and patient care
• Take patient histories and maintain the patient records system
• Assist patients to select a suitable frame for their glasses
• Demonstrate care and maintenance of lenses to patients
• Repair minor issues with broken and damaged eyeglasses
• Keep the office organized and exam room ready
• Test visual acuity, depth perception, pressure and pupil reflexes
