DOCS Health is seeking an optometric technician to support dental exams and treatment for military service members, primarily on weekends in Arkansas. You will work directly with patients, operate optical equipment, and interface with care software.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as an optometric or ophthalmic technician.
• Experience performing visual fields, OCTs, and Fundus Photography is required.
• Experience with computers, including word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the optometrist with procedures and patient care.
• Take patient histories and maintain records.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses.
• Explain care and maintenance of lenses to patients.
• Repair minor issues with eyeglasses.
• Keep the office organized and exam room prepared.
• Test visual acuity, depth perception, pressure, and pupil reflexes.
