Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to support federal construction projects at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas.

You will review contractor performance, monitor schedules, manage documentation, and provide technical guidance to ensure on-time, within-budget project execution in compliance with contract requirements and federal standards. The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 7–10 years of relevant experience, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field required.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of engineering, architecture, construction management, or project management experience; OR ten (10) years of experience successfully managing construction projects.
• Experience with USACE/DoD/federal construction programs preferred.
• Experience with MILCON/SRM projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, UFC, EM 385-1-1, and other federal construction regs.

Responsibilities

• Review QA work for technical accuracy and provide guidance on plans, specs, and codes.
• Review contractor schedules for conformance with methodology and contract.
• Document principal construction features, plans, specs, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Maintain awareness of contractor activities to prevent delays.
• Prepare negotiation/change order docs and support Government teams.
• Assist in preparation of negotiation materials and change orders.
• Advise on contract administration and Federal Regulations for construction acquisition.
• Review design changes to meet site conditions and expedite work.
• Collaborate with contractor counterparts to ensure successful project execution.
