Job summary

Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer to support federal construction at base facilities.

You will review contractor performance, monitor schedules, manage documentation, and provide technical guidance to ensure safety, on-time delivery, and compliance with contract requirements. The role requires deep knowledge of construction management, contract administration, and QA with the ability to coordinate with government personnel, contractors, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field required.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of engineering, architecture, construction management, or project management experience; OR ten (10) years of experience successfully managing construction projects.
• Experience supporting USACE/DoD/federal construction programs preferred.
• Experience with Military Construction (MILCON), SRM projects preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with construction contract administration, quality assurance, project controls, scheduling, and change management.
• Experience with Resident Management System (RMS) required or preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, UFC, EM 385-1-1, and other federal construction regulations and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing technical reports and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Review Quality Assurance for technical accuracy and provide guidance on plans and specs.
• Review contractor schedules for conformance with methodology and contract.
• Document principal construction features and submittals for contract compliance.
• Maintain awareness of contractor activities to prevent government delays.
• Assist in preparation of negotiation and change order documents.
• Advise Government on contract administration and Federal Regulations for construction.
• Review changes to designs, specs, and schedules to accommodate site conditions.
• Collaborate with contractor counterparts to ensure successful project execution.
