Job summary

AbbVie in Roanoke, VA is seeking an experienced field-based Sales Specialist to execute brand strategy, drive sales performance, and manage assigned territory and accounts. You will build trusted relationships with providers, understand patient needs, and work within AbbVie’s code of conduct to improve patient access and outcomes.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in health, science, or business, pharma sales experience, and the ability to pass HCIR credentialing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in health, sciences, pharmacy or business preferred.
• Five+ years in pharma/health sales, with three+ in pharma preferred.
• Strong knowledge of products, competitors, and business tools.
• Proactive in adapting selling approaches to customer styles.
• Proven track record in sales and effective presentations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial targets across territory.
• Create pre-call plans and post-call evaluations to improve performance.
• Build trusted relationships with providers and meet patient needs.
• Develop and execute call plans to maximize access and frequency with customers.
• Share market intelligence with brand and sales teams to optimize strategy.
• Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition and engage disease state experts.
