Aerotek is seeking a Welder in Clackamas, OR to join a clean, organized fabrication shop. You will weld, fit, and fabricate parts for palletizing equipment, taking ownership from start to finish in a varied, non-repetitive setting.

The role emphasizes MIG welding on mild steel (.035 wire), reading drawings, and maintaining quality while meeting production targets. It’s a first-shift, contract-to-hire opportunity in a fully onsite facility.

Responsibilities

• Weld mild steel components using GMAW (MIG) with .035 hard wire.
• Fit and fabricate parts for industrial palletizing equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to meet project specs.
• Take accurate measurements and plan layouts for cuts and welds.
• Set up parts and assemblies for welding per standards.
• Operate shop equipment (bandsaws, drill presses, grinders, cold saws).
• Own projects from start to finish and meet deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and tools.
• Help meet production targets while upholding quality.
• Collaborate with team to support cross-training and improvements.
