Job summary

Aerotek in Eugene, OR is seeking a Welder to perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

You will interpret blueprints and work instructions, complete precise weldments, and ensure products meet quality and dimensional standards while maintaining a safe production process. This is a contract-to-hire role with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• MIG/TIG welding experience in manufacturing or fabrication.
• Read blueprints and weld symbols.
• Knowledge of weld symbols and fabrication drawings.
• Experience with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Ability to use measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Commitment to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components according to job specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, drawings, and work instructions to complete weldments accurately and efficiently.
• Inspect completed welds and finished products to ensure they meet quality, dimensional, and visual standards.
• Use measuring tools and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances on welded and fabricated components.
• Operate grinders and other fabrication tools to prepare, clean, and finish welded components.
• Identify and communicate quality, safety, or production concerns to supervisors in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety procedures and guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement in welding, fabrication, and production processes.
