Job summary

Aerotek seeks a Tack Welder to join a high-volume aluminum welding team in Clackamas, OR. You will perform MIG tack welds on aluminum parts for automotive-related assemblies and operate robotic welders. The role involves following strict procedures, maintaining quality, and working a Monday–Friday swing shift from 6:00 a.m.

to 2:30 p.m. Ideal candidates have hands-on welding experience, basic setup of welding machines, and a willingness to learn robotic systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with tack welding or similar welding tasks.
• Familiarity with MIG welding on aluminum.
• Ability to learn and operate robotic welders.
• Comfortable in a production environment with repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform tack welding on aluminum parts per specs and quality standards.
• MIG weld aluminum components with proper penetration and weld integrity.
• Operate robotic welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Complete high-volume tack welding for simple parts.
• Follow welding procedures and work instructions to ensure consistency.
• Maintain clean, organized work area in metal fabrication.
